Justin Reed’s paintings focus on films, celebrities, and pop culture.  With an artistic twist on comic book style, Reed pulls the action and intensity of an entire film into one scene, bringing life and movement to the paintings.  By including caricatures of favorite actors and backgrounds that capture the themes of the film, the paintings become cinematic experiences.  Reed’s paintings include some cult favorites, such as Kill Bill and Edward Scissorhands, classic Hollywood charm with a Hitchcock piece and Clint Eastwood tribute, and some recent box office hits such as The Dark Knight.  Reed also works on commission pieces for any film buffs who might want their own favorite captured on canvas.  His site includes examples of his work, ordering information, and also shows some step by step examples of the creation of some of his pieces, giving a great insight into his artistry and how his paintings are completed.
