Through this Rotterdam-based Slovakian designer’s ingenious intervention, a colony of over 40,000 bees at the Entomology Reasearch Center of Wageningen University, the Netherlands, has created Libertiny’s remarkable classically-shaped Honeycomb vase. The red color is achieved by adding a red wax dye to the hive before the bees begin to build the vases.
