Buckethead Shadows Between the Sky
Avant-garde guitarist Buckethead recently announced the release of his new album Shadows Between the Sky. The music is relaxed and fluid and while there are no vocals, the guitar sings to the listener throughout the album. All the songs on the album are high quality and somewhat resembling of his fourth studio album Colma, in that many of the songs are eerie and slow. Both albums are acoustic, but Shadows Between the Sky has more traditional drumming, where Colma has a more electronic sound. Sled Ride presents a great guitar solo through the entire track, punctuated nicely by the drums. Sunken Statue is basically a melodic lullaby and, inversely, City of Woe is dark and foreboding.
