Piano Solos, Vol 2 is a timeless array of concertos that fluidly cascade from serene to demanding, seemingly crying out to tell a story with each note. The cinematic opus unravels as if allowing a glimpse into O’Halloran’s soul, or a soundtrack to his memories. The heart-swelling compositions appear fragile, yet haunting, capturing moments of melancholic bliss, brimming with introspection. O’Halloran’s music has received 4 Star review form both MOJO magazine and Vanity Fair. With both the recent Devics albums as well as his stunning piano pieces getting radio play on the likes of L.A.’s highly-influential KCRW, O’Halloran is now getting the attention he’s long deserved. His work seduced renowned music supervisor Brian Reitzell, who asked him to assist with the score for Sofia Coppola’s epic historical drama, Marie Antoinette, ultimately contributing three songs to the film and soundtrack. This lead to him scoring two independent films scheduled for release in 2008: Beautiful Ordinary and Boy of Pigs.
