2007 release from Mira Calix, AKA South African Chantal Passamonte, her third full length. This album combines Electronica with field recordings of natural sounds occurring in the forests of Suffolk. Eyes Set Against The Sun also utilizes violin and a children’s choir which are set against Electronic beats and sounds to create a superb coupling of nature and technology which comes together to create a living, breathing work which is both beautiful and challenging.
