The Panics Cruel Guards

CoverArt.jpg

Despite what their name might suggest, Australian indie rockers, The Panics, don’t evoke a sense of chaos or hysteria.  In fact, they offer the exact opposite: interweaving melodies and atmospheres over landscapes of rousing instrumentation. This is for fans of similarly evocative artists from “down under,” which might include The Church, The Go-Betweens, Sleepy Jackson, The Triffids, Augie March, and Nick Cave. The band’s debut U.S release, Cruel Guards features 10 wondrous songs that drip with a sense of pride in their well-honed musicianship and deeply Australian roots.
